Marshall’s Law Dateline - So what are your future objective reality choices for old people? 1) Abandon your parents to diminishing government “quality health care programs” for middle class elderly citizens. 2) Watch the government confiscate all of your parent’s property while turning your parents into paupers.

Why, American government likes to warehouse old people as “helpless” absentee voters in public subsidized rat infested nursing homes, staffed by minimum wage employees who are only working to subsidize their welfare benefits.

Sooner or later, Reader’s surviving parent or parents will probably need nursing home care. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that one of the Ten Commandments says: honor thy father and mother; it does not say honor thy father and mother until it becomes inconvenient for your pop culture life style.

Obligations to your parent or parents is only beginning, not ending when you “dump” them off at a nursing home. If you want to fulfill this obligation, depend on no one but yourself.

Do not be surprised when some of your siblings fail to do their part. Show no anger towards these siblings, as their actions are between them and God; for it is his Commandment that they are breaking not yours.

Do not be surprised when the least grateful siblings make the biggest scene at your parent’s funeral, and are the first to want their largest share of your parent’s assets after the funeral.

As for support from churches, most take the position that they only care “for their own” meaning they only minister to church members who continue to tithe. Isn’t it ironic that God’s messengers will not perform funeral rites until receiving their in advance “gratuity”?

Be advised that if you take your parent to a hospital be careful what you sign. Hospitals have a policy of taking advantage of distraught middle class children by getting them to sign agreements to guarantee payment for all of their parent’s hospital bills.

One example, a middle class resident we1ll call Mr. Smith saw his neighbor collapse while mowing his yard. Mr. Smith took his neighbor to the hospital and signed his neighbor into the emergency room. When the neighbor could not pay his hospital bill; the hospital placed a lien against Mr. Smith’s home and eventually seized the home for failure to pay his debt. Bottom line watch what you sign in emergency rooms.

Priority parental bills you must expect to pay to insure your parent’s nursing home care include: medications, dental services, body doctor bills, mind doctor bills, supplemental insurance, and other incidentals.

Distinguishing between body and mind doctors, because if your parent has dementia or Alzheimer’s you will need both a medical doctor and possibly a psychiatrist. Why to avoid problems caused by “prescription cocktails”. Make sure each doctor prescribes medications limited to their area of expertise.

Some suggest that a great many patient behavior and health problems in nursing homes result from medical doctors prescribing mind medications which can cause bad reactions to body medications.

Also, when dealing with body doctors, make sure treatments start with least drastic treatments; for example, perhaps vitamins instead of exploratory surgery.

All factors considered, unnecessary depending on amount of prescription drug bills. Reade can expect to need about an additional eight hundred to thousand dollars a month out of you own pocket, in addition to nursing home expenses per parent.

When the time arrives for dealing with government bureaucrats to place your middle class parents in a private sector nursing home the first requirement is infinite patience. The general rule is about thirty telephone calls cumulating in “not eligible” before you find a worker who takes the time to give you a correct response. Once you find a competent case worker, take care of the relationship.

It only took me twenty one calls to find such a professional. It would not be prudent to reveal the name as government has a way of getting rid of good employees. If you are not successful after thirty or so eligibility inquiries, try to locate a private company to help you start the application process.

Another problem middle class citizens, encounter is constantly changing government eligibility standards. The little known secret is that governments change regulations on a daily basis to deny senior middle class citizens earned benefits. Why, two reasons: first, “balance the budget” for long term program viability projections.
Second, make sure that life long career welfare recipients and illegal immigrants are entitled to “one hundred percent” care and benefits. Politicians who say anything different are liars; I probably should not have wasted you the Reader’s time by stating the obvious.

When it comes to selecting a nursing home for your parent/s; here are just a few tips:
1) Check with appropriate state agency for ‘~complaints’ history”;
2) Check with children who have or had parent’s in the nursing home;
3) Remember smaller is better (avoid ware houses);
4) Make several visits to nursing home at random times BOTH before and after parent is admitted
5) Observe whether nursing home staff smile and greet visitors, or look like they would rather be someplace else
6) Come up with your own check list

Never forget that the quality of care in any nursing home depends on frequency of family visits. Make frequent random visits. I go twice a day every day. Get to know the administrators and staff. These people are caring for your parents, and should be viewed as “monitored” friends, not adversaries.
Be prepared to defend the nursing home from government bureaucrats who are often more interested in exaggerating problems for personal merit raises than rewarding good patient services.

Remember older people occasionally fall down and hurt themselves; so don’t be looking to increase your bank balance with frivolous law suits. Other than yourself, it is quality nursing home staff that will be helping you make sure your parents receive quality care.

Reader should be aware that based on experience guestimate based on experiences in Rio Grande Valley, Mexico Texas only one in five doctors seems to be both honest and competent. Beware of doctors trying to get “non-involved” sibling or relative involved in trying to ignore your parents’ D.N.R. (do not resuscitate) document. As for the government, let me tell you about the government, my father volunteered to serve his country and by the grace of God escaped physical injury while serving in the Navy in the Pacific. He worked his entire life and was always active in his community and church. It is doubtful that you will find anyone of any race or cultural background that says he did not treat them honestly and with respect.

While trying to locate additional resources for his care, I was told that his combat experience had earned him (after a twelve month wait for benefits) the equivalent of one cheap can of dog food a day.

My father’s home was near an airport, and it wasn’t that long (months before he went into a nursing home) that he would relive his combat experiences by telling me that he was worried about the Japanese planes hitting his ship and costing friends their lives. The man who never complained and volunteered to serve his country was offered fifty cents a day (can of cheap dog food) by the government he always honored.

Perhaps somebody should explain to the aristocracy that middle class veterans need food, medicine, and dental care; not a general’s monument Then again, maybe the aristocracy has not figured out that veterans cannot eat granite. Then again, what else would you expect from people who do not understand that altruism for publicity is self-serving advertising not benevolent conduct.

Texas Drifter: Utopias Graven Images from Dead Souls?

Marshall’s Law Dateline – Following are few writing exercises’ updates, dispelling myths that all utopias, are anything more than propaganda for people motivated by existence in a place on earth that never has existed, does not now exist, or ever will exist.

Webster’s definition of utopia: an imaginary place in which the government, laws, and social conditions are perfect.

Polishing few previous writing exercises observations. First “polishing” of policy for illegal immigrants’ self-deportations: America is being more than charitable by letting illegal immigrants keep their ill-gotten gains if they self-depot; which also allows them to get in line sooner to legally re-enter America.

Those illegal immigrants choosing to not voluntarily deport will forfeit all their ill-gotten gains, and never be allowed to return to America under any circumstances. Not on visas as visitors including not being allowed to ever apply for legal residency or citizenship.

Solving America’s illegal immigration policy as has been presented by Texas Drifter before (Reference Library Entry #’s - 853 and 855) is not complicated. Since repetition is good training exercise; consider following four PSC (Patriot Security Conservative) motivational tools.
1. Stop all Mexican commercial vehicles from crossing into U.S. until Mexico closes its side of border to criminals leaving Mexico to enter America. Financial incentives to Mexico will definitely reduce criminals entering U.S. until America’s perimeter fence is in service.
2. Motivate Americans to not employ illegal immigrants – how owner or CEO of company does jail time - minimum two weeks county jail - no exceptions - no probation - increasing incarceration time with increasing convictions.
3. Total assets forfeitures for all illegal immigrants (all illegal border crossers and all illegal visa jumpers) who have not left America within sixty days after “motivation” starting date. Greed brought most all illegal immigrants to America; and greed will send will send most all to anywhere as long as it is out of America. Americans are being generous by letting illegals take their criminal profits (poison fruits from poison tree) when they leave during grace period. Illegals staying after sixty days; will eventually get caught and be deported with absolutely nothing. It is satanic lie that America will have to deport ten million illegal immigrants; as one does not have to deport those who self deport to keep proceeds from their criminal activities.
4. Cities, counties, states which declare themselves to be “amnesty” anything; can in civil court be held civilly liable with unlimited punitive damages to only American citizens and legal residents victimized by crimes committed by illegal immigrants in the amnesty city, county, state. Second “polishing” policy: Americans need to understand that issue confronting threats from Marxist-fascist Progressive Democrats and internationalist corporate fascist Mussolini Republicans like Romney, Bush, Chamber of Commerce cults, and many other unethical capitalists that Reader can list. Repeat, the issue is not re-distribution of wealth; the only issue that matters in UNJUST re-distribution of wealth, re-distribution of property, and re-distribution of Constitutional powers from individuals and states to powers for federal government and its federal agencies.

Question, why would above evil doers constantly try to destroy America’s ethical capitalist system? Describing only Obama and the Mussolini Republicans, perhaps they are high on drugs, demented, hate all things American, or are just addicted to one or both of following: lust for political power and or lust for ill-gotten profits. Bonus thought question, if utopias are make believe, and pure products of political leaders afflicted by “psycho-jurat syndrome”.
